Fløyen and Skomakerdiket
Tour description: We meet outside the lower station for Fløibanen at Vetrlidsallmenning and walk to the top of Mount Fløyen and continue to the lake, Skomakerdiket. This is were we'll have our picnic. Afterwards we'll walk back down, but we'll take a different route. If you want, you may, of course, take the funicular.
Distance: 5 kilomtres return
Uphill: 240 metres
Downhill: 240 metres
Highest point: 320 metres
Duration: approximately 2 hours walking + 1-2 hours spent enjoying the sites, views and the picnic
Difficulty: This trip is relatively easy, the climb is not very steep and the paths are generally nice.
Number of participants: 2-8 (Get in touch if you would like a private tour or a tour for a larger group and we'll do our best to accommodate your wishes.)
What to bring: You will have to bring your own drinks.
What to wear: Wear appropriate footwear and dress according to the forecasted weather.
What you get: An "alfresco" meal consisting of something savoury and something sweet. Exactly what, will vary, but my aim is that no one leaves hungry. Let me know right away if you have any allergies I should be aware of.

The mountain view tour: Fløyen, Rundemanen, Blåmanen
Tour description: We meet outside the lower station for Fløibanen at Vetrlidsallmenning and take the funicular to Fløyen where the tour starts. We then walk a roundtrip which will take us to Rundemanen and Blåmanen before returning to the upper station for Fløibanen.
Distance: 7.5 kilomtres return
Uphill: 310 metres
Downhill: 310 metres
Highest point: 310 metres
Duration: approximately 3 hours walking + 1-2 hours spent enjoying the sites, views and the picnic
Difficulty: This trip is relatively easy, the climb is not very steep and the paths are generally nice, but rocky, wet and muddy in places. Sure-footedness required.

What to bring: You will have to bring your own drinks.
What to wear: Wear appropriate footwear and dress according to the forecasted weather.

Gullfjelltoppen, the tallest peak around Bergen
Tour description: This trip goes to the highest mountain top around Bergen, Gullfjelltoppen at 987 metres. We start walking from Gullbotn and walk straigth to Gullfjelltoppen. How to get to the meeting point: We meet at Gullbotn, in the parking lot outside Gullbotn Konferansesenter. This is about 40 minutes by car from Bergen or 1 hour by bus from Bergen bus station. You will be given all necessary information well in advance.
Distance: 9 kilomtres return
Uphill: 720 metres
Downhill: 720 metres
Highest point: 980 metres
Duration: approximately 5 hours walking + 1-2 hours spent enjoying the sites, views and the picnic
Difficulty: This trip is relatively easy, the climb is not very steep and the paths are generally nice, but rocky, wet and muddy in places. It's quite a long walk with a fair bit of elevation gain. Sure-footedness required.

What to bring: You will have to bring your own drinks.
What to wear: Wear appropriate footwear and dress according to the forecasted weather. Remember, it's probably colder and wetter than you think.

The Bergen scenic tour: Skansen-Stoltzekleiven-Skredderdalen-Fjellveien
Tour description: We meet in front of the old fire station at Skansen and walk up to Fjellveien. We follow Fjellveien until we get to the starting point for Stoltzekleiven. We walk to the top where we take a deserved rest, have our picnic stop and admire the views. When we're ready to move on, we follow the road for a little while until we get to Skredderdalen which we follow back down to Fjellveien. From there we walk along Fjellveien until we walk down Endregårdsbakken and stop at the top of Skivebakken for one of the most photographed views in Bergen. The tour ends in Kong Oscarsgate, only a few minutes walk from Bryggen, the fish market and Torgallmenningen.
Distance: 6.5 kilomtres
Uphill: 390 metres
Downhill: 390 metres

Duration: Approximately 3 hours walking + 1-2 hours spent enjoying the sites, views and the picnic
Difficulty: This trip is somewhat hard as the walk up Stoltzekleiven is steep and the walk down Skredderdalen is over rocks and boulders. Sure-footedness required.

The historic tour: Kalfaret - Fjellveien - Gamle Bergen
Tour description: We meet by Stadsporten (in Kalfarveien), the old southern entrance to Bergen. We walk up Kalfarveien which used to be a popular place for Sunday walks some hundred years ago, and we continue until we get to Bellevue where Fjellveien starts. Fjellveien was constructed between 1879 and 1906 as a place where the people of Bergen could get out of town and take recreational walks and is still Bergen's most popular road for walking. We follow Fjellveien to where it ends in Sandviken, from where we walk to the Gamle Bergen (Old Bergen) outdoor museum. We stay there until we walk back into town.

Downhill: 220 metres
Highest point: 150 metres
Duration: Approximately 3 hours walking + 1-3 hours spent enjoying the sites, views and the picnic.

The cultural tour: Stave church - Edward Grieg's home - The royal residence
Tour description: We'll meet at Asylplass and we'll take the car from there. The first stop is the Fantoft stave church, then we drive to Trollhaugen where Edward and Nina Grieg lived, and the last stop is the royal residence at Gamlehaugen. We'll have our picnic in the gardens at Gamlehaugen.
Duration: Approximately 3-5 hours, depending how much time you want to spend on each site and the picnic.
Difficulty: Very easy, we'll go by car to the different sites.
